Ørsted Finance Impact Program
The Challenge
Ørsted is a Danish renewable energy company. Established in 2006, it is a global leader in offshore wind farms and sustainable energy solutions. Ørsted is renowned for its commitment to green energy and plays a pivotal role in advancing renewable technologies worldwide.
There are a number of reasons why we started the Impact Ørsted initiative.
Finance Management wanted to create awareness about how we as individuals, teams and organization improve how we impact Ørsted. This is critical for us to continue to support and drive the exponential growth that we are going through in Ørsted.
Moreover, we wanted to create a strong and compelling aspiration to unite all finance employees across geographies and functions. The Challenge was to establish an Impact Ørsted Program, targeting more than 600 people in Finance.
The Solution
BPI alongside Ørsted designed, launched and sustained the Impact Program initiative, influencing more than 600 employees. It‘s a multiyear change journey, but already now we have seen a shift in how we talk about impact and many practical improvements in how we influence and impact the organization.
The Impact
“Finance Impact is now top of the agenda across the entire Finance organization. It is something that we actively talk about, coach on and celebrate at all levels of the organisation.
We have become good at asking why we do things, challenging ourselves to reduce non-value adding tasks.
We are more conscious about how we influence stakeholders and work proactively on how we build trust and communicate.
And most tangible is probably our Impact Log which contains close to a 1000 impact cases that have been delivered by our employees.
This is fundamentally a change journey. We are a little more than a year down the road and I feel that change is picking up”, says EPCO CFO, Lars Danielsen.
